when i was invited to do The Colorado 500 this year, not sure what i was thinking when i naively said yeah sure. 500 miles of riding around several ranges of the rockies, why not?!
while much of it was in my backyard, some of it was faaaar out of my wheelhouse as far as skill/comfort level, group logistics/schedules, and five days straight on a loud (motorized) bike. (that means at least five days not/not on a mountain bike, whawha gasp.) but it was for a great cause, with a fantastic group, and frankly nothing beats co terrain in late summer under (mainly) bluebird skies!
look up the foundation. look up team ted.... both long-time legends and helping/inspiring many.
and now, with full gratitude that this worn out body is still basically intact, am taking a lil timeout from the loyal lil moto mule.
and now, back to hooves and pedals✌🏼
